Website

Today we are going to learn how to make a website.
We are going to do it the easy way using an online website management system called Wix

http://www.wix.com/studentatlane/hurst_games

You can make it about anything, however if you don't have your own idea, make it about your favorite online games.

2 pages, with links, images, text.

Sign up for your own wix account, unless you don't have an email, or really really don't want to sign up, then you can use my account and I will come help you sign in.

ppslane@gmail.com
**I will come type the password.**

Step 3
Copy and paste the ASCII art into a notepad file.txt and save to Y drive OR use the online document embedded below.
Step 4
Insert into the middle of the ASCII art a fact about trees.
any fact will do, just so it's informational and about trees.
To go find facts use Google.

Active Desktop Wallpapers #2

Today we are going to make your own active desktop wallpaper,
you can if you so choose share it with the entire Lane community.
If you do not want to do this let me know.

First view the examples, see how they fade into the blue on the right, yours needs to do that too.

THEN - Download this image, right click on the file and "open with GIMP" -
if that doesn't work open the application GIMP and drag the file into GIMP.

As you need help with GIMP, I will float around and assist,
consider a theme and build 3-5 images surrounding that theme together in a collage.

Tips,
use and try the tools on the left, hover over each tool to learn it's name.
Likely you will just use the scale tool, move tool, rotate tool and eraser tool. Be sure to know how to find and use these tools.

another tip, use the dialog "layers" to place the images on top of each other, and be able to get to the images in the middle and bottom as well as top..

Lastly, if you want to share it with the Lane community on the desktop, find or create an icon that will represent it.
